Enhanced Postpartum Recovery

4.pngPregnancy and childbirth involve significant physiological changes and physical stress on the body. After delivery, immune function may be temporarily reduced, which may increase the risk of certain complications. Organizations such as the World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health recommend appropriate postpartum care and recovery strategies to support maternal health.

Professor Henrik Kehlet of the University of Copenhagen introduced the concept of Fast-Track Surgery (FTS) in 1997¹. In obstetrics, enhanced recovery approaches may include early mobilization, pain management, and the use of nutrition and dietary strategies to support uterine recovery and the restoration of gastrointestinal and overall physiological functions.
